I'm a filmmaker, editor, and educator based in Brooklyn. Over the past two decades I've worked across television, documentary, and narrative film, editing projects including the Emmy Award-winning series Ramy, the Emmy-nominated Emily in Paris. I hold an MFA in Film Directing from Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema and teach editing at graduate level, where I enjoy helping emerging filmmakers discover their own creative voices.
As a director, my award-winning documentary A Place on the Edge of Breath, which explores gender expression and identity, is available on the Criterion Channel, and my narrative short Birds of Paradise premiered at the Hawaii International Film Festival. I'm drawn to stories about people who feel estranged with the world they've inherited; people navigating the tension between the structures that organize modern life and a quieter intuition that another way of being is possible. Moving between documentary and fiction, realism and the uncanny, I'm interested in the moments when certainty gives way to curiosity, when the longing to be chosen transforms into self-acceptance, and when the ordinary world reveals itself to be stranger, more connected, and more expansive than we imagined.
